Israel Rejoiced at the Dedication of the Temple
“The children of Israel that were present at Jerusalem, kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness: and the Levites and the priests praised the Lord day by day, singing with loud instruments unto the Lord…. And the whole assembly took counsel to keep other seven days: and they kept other seven days with gladness.” 2 Chronicles 30:21, 23.
“And Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people, that God had prepared the people: for the thing was done suddenly.” 2 Chronicles 29:36.
“And Moses told his father in law all that the Lord had done unto Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israel’s sake, and all the travail that had come upon them by the way, and how the Lord delivered them. And Jethro rejoiced for all the goodness which the Lord had done to Israel, whom He had delivered out of the hand of the Egyptians.” Exodus 18:8, 9.
