The Secret Of Redemption

If anyone were to ask you who, in the world of tomorrow, are to be the most honored of mankind, I can hear you instantly answering, “The 144,000 without guile in their mouth”
Declares the servant of the Lord, “I heard everywhere a multitude of voices saying, ‘Here is the patience of the saints: here are they [the 144,000] that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” — Early Writings, p. 279.
“Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city,” is the benediction of Christ when speaking of his own second coming, in the last chapter of the Bible. “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus,” is the description given by the angel, of the 1444,000 who will be translated without seeing death, when Christ comes.” Review and Herald, March 18, 1890. Vol. 67, NO. 11. p.162.
Who would disdain and eschew the supreme honor of sitting down with Christ in His throne? But who relishes and thrills to the travail of soul of bearing the cross up the road of humiliation to Heaven’s pinnacle of honor?
“Before honor is humility.” Prov. 15:33; 18:12. Only the justified soul, dedicated to learning and applying the science of the process, and sustained by enduring grace, can make it to the summit of this steep and rugged ascent of sanctification. Declares Inspiration:
“A knowledge of science of all kinds is power….” — Fundamentals of Christians Education p. 186.1
Some “talk science, and the enemy comes in and gives them an abundance of science; but it is not the science of salvation. It is not the science of humility, of consecration, or of  the sanctification of the spirit.”– Counsels to Writers and Editors, p. 29.1
Humility: The Secret Of Redemption
“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:” Philippians 2:5-7.
Believer! Study the humility of Jesus. This is the secret, the hidden root  of thy redemption. Sink down into it deeper day by day. Believe with thy whole heart that this Christ, whom God has given thee, even as His divine humility wrought the work for thee, will enter in to dwell and work within thee too, and make thee what the Father would have thee be.”– Humility, p. 23.
Finally, let all read and reread, until fully appropriated, these further words of Truth:
“Pride of heart will cause many to fall where they might have made a success. ‘Before honor is humility,’ ‘and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.'”– Testimonies, vol. 5, p. 168.3
“The purest joy springs from the deepest humiliation.”– Testimonies, vol. 5, p. 168.3
“The deepest joy of the heart comes from the deepest humiliation.” Testimonies, vol. 3 p. 459.0
“The only greatness is the greatness of humility.”– Testimonies, vol. 3 p. 459.0
“Nothing is more essential to communion with God than the most profound humility.”– Testimonies, vol. 5, p. 50.2
“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith.” Rev. 3:22.
