ANGELS ARE BUSY PREPARING FOR TRIUMPHS ON PLANET EARTH
(Sung to the music of “Master the Tempest Is Raging” The Church Hymnal, No. 677)
Angels are busy preparing for triumphs on planet earth,
Obeying commands of their Master
For heralding earth’s rebirth;
Holding, sealing, slaying
Duties that must be done
For the Church to be ready for warfare,
And the battle to soon be won.
Chorus: Through thousands of years they have waited long
For that throng- For that throng:
From prisons, from hovels, from mansions great,
They’ll gather, they’ll gather and then they’ll wait;
For joyous resoundings of courage strong
From soldiers who struggled through trials long.
Then all will bravely go forth to win,
Yes, to win, yes, to win;
Then all will bravely go forth to win, Yes, yes, to win.
Angels do herald Christ’s coming,
In messages loud and clear;
Give glory to God our Creator,
For the Judgment hour so near:
Babylon is fallen, is fallen!
Come out of her just now
To the place He’s preparing for safety.
The angels will show you how.
Chorus: Through thousands of years they have waited long
For that throng- For that throng:
From prisons, from hovels, from mansions great,
They’ll gather, they’ll gather and then they’ll wait;
For joyous resoundings of courage strong
From soldiers who struggled through trials long.
Then all will bravely go forth to win,
Yes, to win, yes, to win;
Then all will bravely go forth to win, Yes, yes, to win.
Angels who ‘bided with Michael
(When Lucifer’s angels fell)
Have chronicled history for ages,
Have cared for Christians well
In dungeons, in battles, in fires;
Carefully guarding sheep
While the storms of life threatened to swallow
Them up in the swirling deep.
Chorus: Through thousands of years they have waited long
For that throng- For that throng:
From prisons, from hovels, from mansions great,
They’ll gather, they’ll gather and then they’ll wait;
For joyous resoundings of courage strong
From soldiers who struggled through trials long.
Then all will bravely go forth to win,
Yes, to win, yes, to win;
Then all will bravely go forth to win, Yes, yes, to win.
