A Time of War Will Precede The Time Of Peace Part 1.

January 29

“We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of health, and behold trouble!” Jer. 8:15.

“The present is a time of overwhelming interest to all living. Rulers and
statesmen, men who occupy positions of trust and authority, thinking men and women of all classes, have their attention fixed upon the events taking place about us. They are watching the relations that exist among the nations. They observe the intensity that is taking possession of every earthly element, and they recognize that something great and decisive is about to take place, that the world is on the verge of a stupendous crisis.

The spirit of war is stirring the nations from one end of the earth to the other…. The unsettled state of society, the alarms of war, are portentous. They forecast approaching events of the greatest magnitude.

The… nations are already divided into two distinct ideological camps: On the one side are the democratic governments, while on the other side are the totalitarian. If the latter (totalitarian) continue successfully to prosecute their relentless conquest for world-dominion and sovereignty, the only victorious way out for the Christian (democratic) nations, as they humanly view their plight, will be to surrender their power to the church….

Moreover, Russia has now become their greater enemy than was Hitler. They did away with Hitler, but the hot war never completely ceased, and the cold war was soon added to it. Everyone knows that the war is not settled, and that peace has not come, that the war may break out red hot any day.

Great changes are soon to take place in our world, and the final movements will be rapid ones [Vol. 9, p. 11]. Perplexities that are scarcely dreamed of are before us.

In the future it will be impossible to transport the health foods from America. And for other reasons, it will be better to make your foods where you are, as far as possible [HFM 60.2]. There will be broken thrones and great distress of nations with perplexity….

I was shown the inhabitants of the earth in the utmost confusion. War,
bloodshed, privation, want, famine, and pestilence were abroad in the land…. Strife, war, and bloodshed, with famine and pestilence, raged everywhere….

Fearful tests and trials await the people of God. In the last scenes of this earth’s history, war will rage. There will be pestilence, plague, and famine… [CCh 40.1]. A great work is to be done, and to those who know the truth for this time, this work has been entrusted.
